My Girl

My Girl

She’s a constant joy,

Tiny like a toy.

She leaps and prance’s,

Does hind-leg dances.

She slips and slides,

Does tummy glides.

She lays on all laps,

Loves all-day pats.

She’s a mirror of love,

Knowingly, from above.

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Thank you for following my site. I appreciate it. It’s a beautiful dog. I am a dog person. I’ve had my (Big) lab-shepherd mix for almost eight years. Thanks again, and take care.

      1. I don’t know if I’m that great, but I write from my heart unabridged, tears, laughter, the lot, and there’s no big words, I like to keep it simple so anybody can enjoy my emotions 😊
