Good morning dear Readers, this is an experiment of mine, not sure if the above link will open for all of you, or worse still any of you. A dear friend of mine Terry Fielding, has written a song to the words of a section of my recent poem “An Answer Follows”… Β I so hope this works and you’re able to enjoy the tune. Also, please feel free to look up my friend on Youtube, under, Terry Fielding, “The Whale”.
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Couldn’t play the link, but the session with Murphy’s Pigs was fun
I do use Google Drive but the message I get is my browser is unable to play this audio file.
Is it set to public or do you need to give individual permissions to view the Drive?
Okay, got a step further. What it does is save to my own google Drive. From there I have to choose an app to open the audio file. I couldn’t find one. I’ll look into it tomorrow Ivor and wil let you know how it goes. thank you for trying to help.
Yep you need an audio player app, there’s a Google music player or a jet audio in your app store so when you click download it should go there and then you open your new audio app., oh I this hasn’t been too much trouble for you.
Yes you’re right Ivor I do. I thought there was one because I’ve listened to audio before. It’s getting late here, for me anyway so I’ll look into it when my mind is clearer and not quite so tired. Thank you
Hello again Ivor. I managed to get it to play. Thank you and it sounds lovely and worth the wait. I made the mistake of attempting to get it to play direct from my Google Drive using a Chrome audio player, it wouldn’t play. Finally, it occurred to me to simply download the track from the Drive and of course it played straight away! Thank you Ivor π
Thanks Sue, it’s so nice to hear my words sung to a tune. I think”π I try to say something about the the download part, but it’s hard to explain from Geelong β‘β‘
I understand the difficulties. Initially, I think it’s because it automatically saves to our own google drive but it doesn’t tell you it’s there. Once you realise it’s simple to download, providing you don’t try to play it directly from the drive itself as I attempted! It was lovely to listen to and you must feel very proud on hearing it put to music. Well done π
I’m a bit of a bumbler on a computer, basically self taught. Γnly had a computer for 8 years, so starting when I was 58, but I’m ok.π and glad I took up the challenge. Xx and extra happy I joined this blogging world, I’ve made so many wonderful pen friends. And of course you too, thanks Sue β‘β‘
I’m so pleased you eventually opened the link, and yes I’m so very happy with his song. He’s going to do a better recording for me. This one was just recorded by his phone…

I use a MacBook Ivor. It doesn’t seem to like this. I’ll search around for an app to cure it!

Yes, I would really enjoy hearing it again. I listened twice. I could hear it, but I hope you share the next recording as well.
