An Answer Follows, Music/Song Recording

I’ve posted this song before, but my dear friend Terry Fielding, has kindly re-recorded the song to my words of my poem “An Answer Follows”, and the production is a far better quality version. Thanks again to Terry for his wonderful tune.

Hopefully, when you open the link, you can click on download in top right of your screen and proceed from there. If you have Google Drive, and an audio music app. everything should work ??

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Oh, that’s a pity. The little girl is Niamh, her Dad Martin, (His backyard), sitting hunched over, Chris, he teaches in China, flew over the day before, it was -25’C and that day here in Geelong it was a hot 41’C, he was feeling the heat… and my friend Terry on the guitar, singing, it was just after Christmas last year.

    1. Hi Anie, it’s the second verse of the the two part poem “Follow By Two”, a silly name, I’ll try and paste for you here
An Answer Follows: You’ve all walked into my heart. And you’ve ran into my past. You’ve all flooded into my soul. And you’ve soared into my dreams. I crave for that. . . one day soon. Tomorrow, or another day too. That all your hearts Will be bathing themslves, In the soothing oils Of your glorious souls.

  2. Thank you so much Ivor! This is a beautiful poem. “All your hearts” is that meant from a Buddhist thought of rebirth? Do you have the first part of “Follow by two” online? The title is indeed hard to translate … if it were “followed” it would be clear. Do you know the name of the song?

      1. thank you for the entire poem, Ivor! The recording as a song is so gorgeous!!!! I remember my time on studiing art. There was a quiet “lonely time”, hearing only Elvis while painting. The recording reminds me a lot of Elvis songs.
