The oceans sunrise
My daily prize
Evoked my gaze
Like a glitzy floor-dance
Mother natures
Star performer
Her razzle and dazzle
Upon morning sea drizzle
Reflections of colour
Her horizon of vigour
Purity defined
A royal sky-line
Endless over time
Eleven days she was mine.

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Thank you Nandita, It was a project of passion for me, firstly to take the pictures of the eleven sunrises of my cruise, and then to write the words. hopefully I was able to capture those awesome views in my poem.

“Opportunities are like sunrises. If you wait too long, you miss them.” – William A. Ward. You quite beautifully used the opportunity to capture each sunrise and I’m happy that they were not missed. Now, that Toblerone seems another opportunity that should not be missed! Thank-you! P.S. Might the opportunity to obtain the measurements of the Toblerone ingredients have occurred?

Haha, I’m afraid the opportunity of obtaining the Toblerone measurements was missed, I seemed to have been too busy in just consuming them π π

Sadly, there are times when opportunities are missed. Thankfully, for you, the consumption of a Toblerone wasn’t one of them. As for myself… so close, yet missed!

On a quest to find a recipe, I’ve come across many varieties with many different ingredients. It seems an opportunity arises for me… to try each one. An opportunity that shall not be missed! Cheers!
