Tit Bits #5

The air I breath

Purifying within

free to leave

free as the wind

…….

I wonder at nature’s freshness

early in the morning

we take her for granted

our perennial mother earth

nurturing a new start to every day

I wish our mankind could

begin afresh like her

…….

Searches are many

answers unfound

mirrors our insanity

until eyes hear sound

…….

They may steal my words

with their poison pens

but they’ll never be able

to copy my heart

nor retrieve my soul

……

Time is on my side of the door

a knock, a chat, wine and more

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Boy is there a lot of truth to that! I can SO identify with that… You so often touch on an eternal truth for me, Ivor. I love your writing.

    1. Thank you Calen, I love your comment, and yes I try to write the truth of my feelings and thoughts, and the simplicity of words seems to work for me

  2. You are getting more and more comments and compliments, my friend. You are becoming a fixture in many minds. Mine too. Every day I think about writing poetry but every day I continue to edit my novel, content to one day just print it out on the ol’ copy machine and hand out copies.

      1. I write so many comments, and some were in the form of little poems as you know. And now when I write a reply/comment/stanza, that’s worth keeping, I store it in my Note-book file, So I can refer back to them. Before they would be lost on my bloggers/readers sites.
