G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Enjoy your music Ivor. No more music for me because right now itβs almost eleven fifteen pm here and after a busy day itβs my bedtime. Catch up tomorrow, goodnight Ivor π΄π΄
It’s amazing how helpless I am when my technology goes on the fritz. I seem to forget that I functioned just fine before we had any. I knew how to hold a pen in my hand, I knew how to get thoughts from brain to pen to paper, I knew how to insert pieces of paper into a typewriter, I seemed to survive without being able to get calls while I was grocery shopping, I didn’t need my fridge to tell me when we were out of milk or a gizmo to tell me how long I’d walked. Having said all that, I hope your computer’s up and running soon again.
Hi Gina, oh wow, a sincere thank you β€οΈ for all these glorious comments, you make me feel so special. I’m in Ballarat having lunch with my sister, and then off to Melbourne to watch our April sing in an Opera πβΊοΈ
you have a splendid day, you deserve life’s best, and don’t worry about replying the comments, i have been so happy reading your posts, sorry i took so long getting there. lovely day to you and best wishes to April! she’s stunning!
Oh, my! I hope everything is back to normal soon!
Yep, sometimes we must rely on the “old” ways to get by! π π
I love how you got a poem out of your dilemma. I got a chuckle out of your pigeon being late. Your poems are always worth waiting on the pigeon to deliver…even a slow pigeon!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend plans, Ivor!
HUGS!!! π
Yep it’s frustrating, maybe a few more days, I’m in Ballarat tonight with my sister, and using her computer, we’ve been to the opera in Melbourne to watch our April sing. She sang beautifully.

Reading your post one would think you’re frustrated! π So what are you going to do? It would take too long to telegraph your poetry in. π
