G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Okay I will concede that all computers have a mother at heart. My computers have traditionally been named after Star Trek characters, all male! I hope Ivor gets his machine fixed soon.
Ivor’s brother has gone on holidays for 10 days, He’s going to use parts of my machine and reconstruct a new computer for me, I suppose you’d call it a custom /hand-made computer,. And yep, probably need a new mother board βΊοΈ
Dear Ivor, You are coming in loud and clear from wherever or however you are transmitting! Love this poem! Technology is a puzzling thing, beat it into submission by whatever means are available to you. Or, embrace the art of patience until the resurrection of your computer. Never give up! Thank-you!
Hope you have a back up drive. I love your poem but I’m sorry the computer is going to take such a long time to fix. Get to grips with the microphone on your phone, it will save a lot of typing. π
I’m learning how to use my WP on my smart box to my TV. It has a keyboard with real buttons that aren’t too small. π I’m finding it an interesting exercise. β¨οΈπΊπ»π
Oh Ivor….. I know we often complain about the ‘bad stuff’ on the internet…. But I am thankful for the good stuff. Now there will be less until you are ‘repaired’. Cheers to your brother for taking on the task!
I’m still without a computer, until my brother gets back from holidays in 8 days time. π I’m making do on my phone, my TV’s smart box, and going to my local library, but it’s all quite a task. π
You are quite resourceful Ivor! I can use my phone during the day to read blogs but it’s really difficult to leave comments. So I have a small idea of what you are going through!!!
I wish the judge would have fined the government big time for not making the deadline. A missed opportunity in my opinion. One wonders if all those kids will ever find their way back to their parents.
Hugs!
