Doggie Minder

Hi dear readers, Ivor’s at it again, looking after a gorgeous dog for ten days. Let me introduce you to “Cyndy”, I’m minding her, while her owner is away on holidays. Cyndy and and I are dear friends from a few years ago, when we all lived together, Lily and Cyndy,  Ivor and Sue,….. Sue is my ex-girlfriend/partner from those days. Cyndy is a snuggly King George Cavalier, and she’s a healthy 9 year-old bundle of joy, and she hasn’t left my side since she arrived here this morning. We are in for a lovely time together over the next ten days, and as you can see in the below picture, Cyndy has already made herself at home, up on my bed…. xx

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. OH MY GOODNESS!!! Cyndy is so beautiful and seems very sweet! 🙂 How nice of you to let her bunk with you! I bet she has a good time with you and I know she will be great company for you! 🙂
I held Cooper up so he could see her photos and I think he is now in love! 😉 😀
HUGS to you and Gentle PATS to Cyndy!!! 🙂

    1. Cyndy is a very good girl. And we rescued her from the Geelong Animal Welfare pound, when she was 4, and she’s love’s unconditionally. Yes I’m in for lots of Cuddles and licks. I’ll look your site up, and find a pic of Cooper to show her

  2. Oh how lovely! And it made me laugh to see her on your bed when she has her own basket, pretty much all of my pets are the same. “No, human. This basket is my bed, and your bed is my bed, but my basket is not your bed.”
