Lingering is Gardens

We walked through a doorway in a white painted brick wall, to discover this extraordinary Chinese garden, originally set up as a nobles city getaway garden area.

Like having a holiday and not leaving home

We’ve been so blessed with glorious weather the whole trip. 😊

Hi, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm a retired, part-time plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for 18 months, and writing poems for nearly 18 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

The gardens are amazing! (I love visiting the gardens in Golden Gate Park in SF…especially the Japanese Tea garden.)
You have taken me (in words and photos) to somewhere I would love to go, but will probably never be able to go. So, thank you so much! πŸ™‚

  2. Those bonsai trees are beautiful. It made me think of my neighbour who passed 8 years ago. One of his gardening hobbies was growing and nurturing those amazing little trees. It looks like you had a wonderful holiday and you lucked out with the weather. We had a similar experience in London. It rained only one day in two weeks.
