I cannot hear the bird

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Some terribly tragic news, Carole and I, grandniece, Georgia, only 20, committed suicide, my tender heart is hurting for the family , my tears are flooding in pain, and for me the pouring rain never stops 😢😔💔

      3. I understand how you feel.You have known her since the moment she was born. She was family and coming to terms with her loss, and under such tragic circumstances is absolutely heartbreaking. I am so sorry Ivor, my thoughts and love are with you xx

      1. and you all are sadly … too many questions and guilt remain when someone ends their own life … they are so riddled with self and angst that they forget the unbearable pain they leave behind … just get well and make the most of your life Ivor, that’s all one can do …

  10. Again, I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. 😦
    My family has been through the same thing with one of my nephews (21 years old). 😦
    Every year my youngest kiddo does an Out of the Darkness overnight walk in his honor and she raises a lot of money for suicide prevention.

    Writing can be good therapy, so keep feeling, keep expressing your feelings and keep writing.

    1. The hugs are lovely Lisa, yes words are hard to come by, in such a hopeless and helpless situation, and I’m such an emotional guy, my heart feels every one’s pain. 😌😔😇xxx
