G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Sounds as though you’re not feeling on top form Ivor – hope you’re OK. Big hugs on way xx
Oh no Iβm so sorry to hear that Ivor. I donβt know what to say. I hope that they sort you out so that youβre home in time for Christmas. Big hugs coming your way xxx
ouch not sounding too good but I am glad you are there …. please what is the name of this flower on your post?
Mentioned them to someone and I’ve had a blank with the name … and my description didn’t ring any bells, then you post them!
Feeling reasonable π, but probably a bit depressed, and frustrated, if only they could find out what’s causing my problems. Yes the hanging basket is so special, hanging up in my fernery ππ
no way, you go home and do too much … that’s how you had the stroke … sit, be patient, breath and enjoy the company of those busy but delightful nurses π
Oh, Ivor, I am so sorry this has happened to you again. Please try not to worry, the staff will take care of you, make you well and keep you safe, and I will continue to about you. π xx
I understand your anxiety and frustration, but try to relax, turn your mind to calmer thoughts and relaxing verse. You are safe in the care of the doctors and nurses you know, lie back and trust them to make you well again. π
I sensed anger in the poem, Ivor. I am so sorry to learn of your stroke. How frustrating and frightening. I hope you’re on the mend, though I see in the comments that you will require
Physical Therapy.
I am sorry about the stroke, Ivor. Tell the nurses, your blogger friends have asked them to take good care of you. Enjoy your showers with the nurses β€οΈ and continue with your whiteboard verses. Don’t get frustrated, somethings are beyond our control. Take care. π€
