An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
For All Of You
Finally, I’m going home late this afternoon. They seem to think my aorta might be the source of my problem, I’ve a bit of thickening there and a couple of small ulcers there. Treatment is more blood thinners at the moment, and I’ve another MRI next Thursday 27th December, and follow up appointments here on the Neuroscience department. Yeah !!
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Sounds like they’re getting to the bottom of it Ivor. Glad you’re getting sprung in plenty of time for Christmas. Wishing you all the very best.
I’ve been sending you good thoughts and healing prayers every time I think of you Ivor. I am sorry I haven’t been by to see how you are sooner. I am glad you’re coming home. Sending more healing and ☼ good vibes ☼ your way, now and onging. *hugs* too. ♥.
I was so glad you cοme back home! The big hearts are usually troublesome … they have inside them all the world’s pain i, but they never betrayed ….
All my love I send to you and I wish you Merry Christmas !!
Goodness gracious, Ivor.
Your aorta oughta behave
itself!
Did you know that some
researchers scanned a
copulating couple in an
MRI, making out.
Something to think about
while you’re stuck in the machine.

I am delighted you are home and also relieved that they have hopefully found a reason for your illness.
Are the family still coming to you for Christmas Day? I hope you put your feet up and let them do all the work. 🙂
Glad you are getting to go home before Christmas.. Hopefully your heart will give birth to more of your wonderful poems again soon. Christmas blessing to you, Ivor. ❤
I can imagine this!!! Even I enjoy sharing Christmas with my pRents and siblings family at my birth house … I am already looking forward to be at my own walls with my stuff, my work and my calm days….
So glad you are home! Doo you have a visiting nurse service or anyone to help you? I hope the blood thinners solve the problem for you. My aortic valve was leaking and not closing properly and had to be replaced, along with repairing an ascending aortic aneurysm. I now have a bovine aortic valve, mooooo, lol. Rest easy dear friend!
Yes I’ve got ongoing appointments and tests to attend over the next few months, and I’m fortunate with all my lovely friends who are helping me out through these difficult times 😊🤗🤗
