A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall On Polar Bears

The foreigners have quietly landed

Wood from our trees has all been sanded

We’re a country without doors

Surrounded by golden shores

The openings are cast and vast

And the alien’s time is here at last

I cannot stop them, nor can you

If it be their will

Then, let it be

Join them, do not flee

We’ll all be hand in hand

To become the promised land

So let us be great again

Do not worry about the hard-rain

Do not consider the broken light

Forget about the rainstorm tonight

Who cares about Polar Bear’s with no ice

Leaders say “Enjoy now, no matter the price”

Sorry, we cannot send the politicians a banquet of flowers

All flowers are in crystal vases, within the moguls ivory towers

      1. Aaah that’s no worries! I do the same a lot! I used to be very “I’ll reply later” to posts and comments (mostly because I’d get nervous about what to say) but now I try to reply asap but stiilllll forget. At least you have a good reason! Sleeeeppp! For me it’s usually… oooo, looka that… fluff! Hahaha. Hope your outing is great!! 😀 x

      1. Yes well it was from your soul and seriously if we are awake we are feeling it at present..the pressure in my head last week was intense. That poem demandee to be written. ❤🐼a panda is the closest I can find to a polar bear icon 🙄on my basic phone.

  8. I weep for the polar bears. I saw penguins in Antarctica that were too hot. It was hard for them to feed their chicks. I cry for all of them, too. I hope your recovery continues, only faster! Eat, sleep, write-repeat. The Universe is blessed to have you!

  11. A timely important poem, Ivor! And the song is a perfect pairing.
    I believe if human-beans would care for/about the other creatures, we’d have a much better world to live in. I wish human-beans were not so self-focused…human-beans don’t know how to share in the world. 😦
