In my palm
A fresh carrot
I have found
Covered in dirt
Out of the ground
A tapered cylinder
I wash and peel
Pure orange and long
Chopped into three
Uncooked I eat
Piece by piece
Every bite a kiss
Crisp and tasty
Nature is bliss

I love love love the simplicity of the drawing. And the freshness and simplicity of your words enjoying the carrot. Now I want a carrot. But we have 6 inches of snow and I am content to enjoy the carrot through your words. 😉

I think it topped out at over 7 inches. I like snow so it doesn’t bother me. At least not until tomorrow when I have to drive in it for work!

I used to grow a lot of vegies, but now I’ve got a small courtyard, but still enjoying little bit of greenery x

My Graham used to grow a lot of veg, after he died I hadn’t a clue what he’d planted, I had to wait for everything to grow to find out, but I watered and fed regularly and reaped the benefit in the summer. I enjoyed it.
