Believe it, or not

I’m travelling around the block

Finally life is not too hot

And I’m not going to rot

Reality has me flying to New York

I’ve been invited to deliver a talk

A speech about spirit and life

The long journey of endless strife

And how, the answer was found

From inside a body unsound

 

Go listen to the Messiah

You’ll not get any higher

Go reach for your stars

Dream like a child going to mars

Go steer a new T-model car

Even Brooklyn Bridge isn’t too far

Go discover your Yorkie, a savour bike

Pedal your way to greater heights

Go explore, beyond your blade of grass

See the universe outside your heart of glass

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      5. personally I feel it’s time these two with the monopoly and very few differences were dumped completely … neither labour, liberal or country have done us any favours!
        I say give the independents, those with some ideals a go!

You already know, all too well, the fragility of life, but you’re battling back wonderfully! I’m sure you’ll have an amazing adventure, meeting your relations & enjoy every moment in one of my very favourite places NYC, & have a great time in Philly too, safe travels, have fun! ☺️

      2. No, 😊still another hour to go, a chance to rest my legs, I’ve done well, I’m in the boarding lounge, waiting to get on my plane, got here unassisted, and I’m about my effort ☺️❤️
