G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

lovely haiku, green layers of leaves … think this one is inspiring people to really get creative, thanks Ivor!
Beautiful photos! Each plant has such unique leaves! Some of those plants are some of my fav plants! Wonderful haiku, too! 🙂
Oh…and Mr. Waits… 🙂 … SIGH! 🙂
(((HUGS))) and Happy Whee-kend, Ivor! 🙂
Hey! I know this is kind of off-topic but I had to ask.
Does operating a well-established blog like yours require a massive amount
work? I am completely new to blogging however I do write in my journal on a daily basis.
I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share my experience and feelings online.
Please let me know if you have any ideas or
tips for new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!

I’m lucky, I can hang them under my verandah

lol my awning now faces east so even my steps are soaked … and no space to hang it in my 7 x 2.4 metre home!

I built my verandah to specifically cater for my outdoor area, it’s been a great addition….

Yes Mr Waits, I suppose I’ve followed him for over 50 years… and he’s an incredible singer/songwriter…..

He is! I’ve noticed in recent years he’s continued to do some acting, too. I saw him in two movies last year.

Wow, I’m not much of a movie buff, and i didn’t know that he’s still acting…..
