G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Love your imagery here! You’re making me miss my former surfing habit!
This really took me into the swell of the ocean in my imagination. Its been years for me and I used to live by the beach and swim most days of the year. Lovely piece of writing, Ivor.
Yes Deb, that was my life style too, hopefully my specialist will allow me to jump into the surf this season… the poem was a dream I had last night… obviously i’m looking forward to the summer… xxx
Thank you Sue, yes I dreamt about the beach and swimming again. last night, and the song seemed to reflect my thoughts of what I’ve missed out on over the past year, but as you say hopefully I’ll be fortunate this coming summer…. xx
I hope so too Ivor. But what about a local pool? I used to swim 4 miles a week in a pool and it felt so good. Looking into this near me. Want to give that a go? β₯.
LOVE the ocean and surfing word-pics in your poem!
Surfing relates to life and it’s ups and downs. π
Keep “ridin’ the waves of life”, Ivor! You got it, Dude! π π
HUGS!!! π
PS…I know some surfer dudes in California!
