Sculptures and Poems

A time to relax and rest

After another bodily test

No poems in my pocket

Nor in my Itmims Rocket

There’s no words left in me

Nor lyrics tied to my tree

I’ve only photos from Saturday

The Sculptors Exhibition day

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Beautiful artwork and I enjoyed reading the words about muses! Each sculpture could be a muse for a new poem! 🙂
Glad you got to take in such unique creativity and enjoy yourself, Ivor!
And your poem says it all…a day to absorb, refresh, renew, relate, and smile! 🙂 Thank you for taking us along with you in photos! 🙂
    HUGS!!! 🙂
PS…I love that song and the vid! The words always encourage me!
    “Man gets tired
    Spirit don’t
    Man surrenders
    Spirit won’t
    Man crawls
    Spirit flies
    Spirit lives when man dies
    Man seems
    Spirit is
    Man dreams
    The spirit lives
    Man is tethered
    Spirit is free
What spirit is man can be”
