Tree Care

Haiku:  Tree Care

Trees will grow again

Mother nature, cares that way

It’s time, we must too

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Beautiful photo!
Perfect, timely, important, well-written haiku! YES, we MUST care AND take action!
One of my fav songs, ever!
I love trees…I always have! I feel akin to them. I’ve hugged them. I’ve admired them. I’ve learned from them. I’ve watered them. I’ve sat under the shade of their arms, feeling sheltered and safe. ETC. 🙂
I get sad when trees have to be cut down, or get destroyed by fire, ETC. 😦
It’s like losing a well-seasoned (I don’t like the world “old”! 😉 ) friend…a friend who has lived so long, and beautified, and helped the earth and the creatures on the earth. 🙂
When I pass I’ve instructed my family to bury my ashes and then plant a tree on me. 🙂
HUGS and sorry for my l-o-n-g comment!
PS…This is now my favourite of all of your amazing Haiku(s)! And, yes, they are all amazing! 🙂
