G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Wonderfully written, but it must have hurt to just tap, tap, tap into a white screen. Take care of yourself.
Seriously… I know that feeling of wantig to write, but you have to give your eyes a rest ro that headache won’t ever go away. I worry about you, friend!
I’m glad you managed to write this piece. I am a firm believer in immersing oneself into the writing moment , it takes one’s mind away from the physical discomfort. Well done, Ivor π
Aw, what a wonderfully written poem, Ivor! I’m misty-eyed right now.
Your head pain and the tears will subside….and the beautiful dreams will fill your mind again.
Continued best wishes and prayers for you and your health.
The drawing and song are perfect companions to your poem. π
(((HUGS)))
Beautiful poem and accompanying song it brought mist to my eyes. I could feel family drawing in around me but more so Our Heavenly Father I can feel HIM within my Soul and I part of the greater Universal Consciousness. I pray for healing for you, I vaguely remember you saying you have a rod in your neck ah, this is what gets misplaced and causes the pain until it settles down again. You should be good for the festive season. Take care and much gratitude to you in your pain for sharing so much love. I am pleased you have a good companion with little dog so you are not on your own. Blessings and miracles sending to you.
Thank you for your kindness Nanatte…… I’m afraid my progress is very slow at the moment, the pain is just tolerable…. but writing is good for my mind, … distracts my mind away to where my headaches, cannot interfere with my soul……. although I seem to be writing too much about my personal plight… I’ll try to point my thoughts in a more positive direction….. I enjoy reading your lovely analysis’s of my words, and how you understand my spiritual and soulful words……. I’m not a religious person, but I believe in the nature of my surroundings, and the cosmic universe we all live in….. And poems are always deep from within my heart, and are driven by celestial star(Carole)……. my poems are nearly always are in conversation with her…xxx
It is good how your Soul takes over at times like this. Try opening the energy from your Soul into the pain to heal it and sooth it.
You have a very beautiful soul one inspired by another beautiful soul “Carole” the love simply flows constantly between the two of you.
I see your words so clearly flowing to her a glorious love you both had.
I am not religious person either I walked away from this a long time ago. I draw from the Universal Consciousness the combined Divine Energy which you also seem to draw from naturally too. Bless you and more healing to you.
I already commented this post, but I’m back! Ha! π
I wanted to ask…How are you doing today, Ivor?
Coop and I are listening to holiday music and boppin’ and dancin’! π
HUGS!!! π
No dancing today Carolyn, I’m improving slightly, and headaches not quite as painful, I’ve still a few more weeks of being quiet on my blogging… I’ve managed to write some pencil and pad poems, which I find is ok…. and when I’m able, i’m transferring them onto the computer…….. Woof, woof hi Coops…..
Actually it was a lovely artistic card given to me by my cousin Terry, when I was in Philadelphia, and of course I keep it and bought the special card home with me from America πβ€οΈ

So happy to hear about the improvements…and less pain. I hope and pray you continue to find healing.
Yes, Sh!!! Let’s be very quiet and write on that pad with paper when a poem pops. π
Quiet woofs from Coops!
