G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

As the breeze blows through your garden you will have a confetti of petals – purple rain.
your garden is the perfect place to contemplate life Ivor, love how you have placed all your favourite flowers and decorations and may I mention the herbs too, those were such beauties. I am smiling that I had the privilege to actually be in this glorious little space!
Oh Gina, thank you, i think you understand my spiritual links with my little garden very well…… actually another little courtyard poem poured out of me this morning, as I doing some early morning watering to beat the days heat, it’ll be 42’C today !!
Everything here is beautiful! As purple has been my favorite color since I was a little girl! So, yes, EONS ago! HA! 😀
I see purple as creative, peaceful and magic!
HUGS!!! 🙂
The Purple and mauve colours are always significant for me. Violets were our wedding flowers, and they were hand picked by Carole and Maree, at a local Violet farm.

Beautiful reflection on your garden and the deeper meanings that can be found in nature; especially that nature we tend to.
