G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

As always your poetry is amazing the Dragonfly another of my wonders of nature and one of the few I see living here. Your choice of music must bring many happy memories.
Loving and living with my garden courtyard, is of a huge spiritual significance in my everyday life, and I enjoy the connection of my poems to this essential part of my personal well-being
Your poem is a wonderment I had to read over and over! Melpomene sounds like my kind of muse. Lol. And your potted garden is enchanting, Ivor!!! You have a green thumb and a golden soul. 💛
Thank you for reading and commenting, and also thanks for following my blog/website, muchly appreciated, I hope you enjoy reading my humble writings, and from Geelog, Australia. Cheers. Ivor.
I’m reaching for the tissues to wipe my eyes.
This is so heart-touching, Ivor!
In your courtyard, you are surrounded with love and beauty…so it is no wonder you are beautiful, My Dear Friend, and beautiful poems are birthed from your heart! 🙂
Thank you for making 2019 such a wonderful year! You have impacted the world in positive ways, AND you have positively impacted so many of us here! We are grateful! 🙂
Whoops I’m always pressing wrong buttons. I was saying, hugs 2020 times back to you. & Coop’s. Your comments and continual support give me great joy. Happy new year to you and yours. And of course I would be writing a poem to Carole for the new year. 😁✨ It’s been a good festive season for me, and I coped well. Just a little downer, that my Philadelphia niece Kerri (SMA) is hospital at the moment with phenomena, but I did chat with her today, and she hopes to be out next week…… she has a big piece of my heart over there in Philadelphia…. Whoops, tears…. Oh, I loved Coop’s new year’s post, I left a reply. 🌏💙🤗💙🌏
This is beautiful, Ivor.
