G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Thank you Sue for reading both of my emotional and heartfelt poems from today….. I’ve been pouring my smoldering heart into my writings over these awfully trying times….. and now I’m mentally and emotionally exhausted.. I’ve given of myself the best way I know how… xx
Powerful photo, poem, and song, Ivor! Wonderful!
(That is my favorite version of Sounds of Silence! I love David Draiman’s voice!)
I read your poem twice! I think it is one of your very best, Ivor! It awakens the senses, it paints vivid, important word-pictures, it ignites emotion. It brought tears to my eyes.
(((HUGS)))
PS…How are you doing today, Ivor?!?!
I’m ok, but emotionally and mentally I’ve worn myself out……. I’ve poured my heart and soul into these writings lately
And I’ve given it my best, the only way I know
how……I’m running out of tissues….xx
I know it’s good to get out those emotions…but if you need to take a break, please do so! Your emotional, mental, and physical health is vital! If the poems just keep coming, then let them flow. ๐
If I could send you a bunch of boxes of tissues, I would! ๐

I think his only good song, his stuff is mainly “Grundge”
But suited my somewhat powerful piece ๐๐๐

I was surprised to hear a version like this as his style of singing and appearance did not match.

The poems are lovely, Ivor. Now it’s almost time to rest, you must be feeling emotionally drained. ๐
