G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Poignant π you made my heart ache with the song and your words.
One of my bet friends sons, got a mystery bug/virus in the brain, on Friday, and tragically he was taken off life support yesterday…..only in his 30’s with two young girls….. so sad…. my friend had 3 boys, and two have died young…….xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
My condolences Ivor this really has pulled on my soul your friend how tragic to have lost 2 so young. The coronavirus which is now rampant in China is a deathly virus. It is spreading in many countries. Good choice of video. I pray something is done to bring an end to all the suffering, it is too vast.
Condolences my friend π¦ The heartache of losing a child never truly goes away; it dissipates somewhat with time. I empathize with regard to your friend’s loss. I know all about grief – first daughter was youthful 28 when she received her angel wings and a stillborn second child never saw daylight. Life can be so unfair. Stay strong and Stay well!
Thank you for your kind words and understanding. Destiny’s hands are not always soft nor kind, but somehow our hearts stay strong, even despite life’s rough times
So sad! π¦
I am so sorry to hear of this great loss of a precious one!
My condolences to you, and to his parents, his children, all of his family and friends.

Yes, I understand. π¦
It’s important to feel…even the deep painful feels.
I’d rather feel than be the opposite of feeling.
I’m sure you understand what I mean.
