Sorrow

Sorrow

A young light has gone

May my tears anoint his soul

Taken far too soon

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. My condolences Ivor this really has pulled on my soul your friend how tragic to have lost 2 so young. The coronavirus which is now rampant in China is a deathly virus. It is spreading in many countries. Good choice of video. I pray something is done to bring an end to all the suffering, it is too vast.

  2. Condolences my friend 😦 The heartache of losing a child never truly goes away; it dissipates somewhat with time. I empathize with regard to your friend’s loss. I know all about grief – first daughter was youthful 28 when she received her angel wings and a stillborn second child never saw daylight. Life can be so unfair. Stay strong and Stay well!
