What Is Your NameΒ

Oh, my darling young one

Your skin, so silky smooth

Oh, what is your name

Your pastel tones, so divine

Oh, will you stand here beside me

Your internal beauty captures my heart

Oh, my house is your home

Your eternal life, would grow and blossom

Oh, will my nurturing expose your soft soul

Your exquisite flower, a lovers reward

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. I’m so glad you did the challenge, Ivor. Thank you. We’ve already had this conversation haven’t we, I am hopeless at remembering names of plants, but I bet one of your many friends can name them all! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      3. The wonderful Carolyn reminded me about pain, and how to soak it up and learn what you can about yourself from every painful experience.. and use the pain as strengthening tool… πŸ’™πŸŒπŸ˜Š

      4. You wish you were living by yourself? We do need support and it comes in all sorts of forms. You do a pretty good job getting involved in community and clubs.

      1. YAY! Always love to give you smiles! πŸ™‚
Sometimes I think you and I cry enough for a mazillion people! We should have invested in tissue/Kleenex stock! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜€
But, I’d rather have a tender-heart and free flowing tears than have a hard-heart and a cold demeanor. πŸ™‚
Ha! “once an Ivor always an Ivor”! I love that! I could say the same about me, but you know…change Ivor to Carolyn πŸ˜€
Good! I know in between the tears you are smiling and laughing…all of your emotions are free flowing. πŸ™‚
