G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. This is simply amazing, Ivor. Beautiful in every way. Especially love the “bow for all heart’s arrows” part. Creative and different!

    1. Thank you Ron, and thanks for following my blog/website, I hope you enjoy reading my humble writings, and I’m from Geelong, Australia. Cheers. Ivor

  2. Beautiful haiku, Ivor, a wonderful tribute to the rainbow of hope for all of us. I also like the picture with the balloons with its message “rise above the ordinary”, and Sia’s song is lovely too. I can imagine myself dancing to its rhythm and lyrics. I recorded a video with a dance to honor International Women’s Day and the fight to make a better life for us all because, after the storm, the sun always comes out again.
