Virus Greed

The virus is not discriminatory

Between the rich and the poor

The virus is obviously colourblind

Viciously greedy and unkind

Why then, are stock markets still open

Greed, profiteering from air and ocean

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. We certainly are Sue… and if the powers to be really had some balls, they would shut-down the worlds monetary system, the same as they’ve locked-down the people ….. but who am I to say…. “a common man verses ‘the greed’

  1. This may be very naive of me because I do not grasp the stock markets at all….but I did wonder why they didn’t stop the tradings and such until everything settled down. So there wouldn’t be panics like there was back in the ’20’s.

    1. Yes Drew, they’re doing that here too,in Australia,….. funny how corporate greed maintains their lack of common sense and compassion, even though a third of the nation have now lost their jobs ??
