An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
Beneath The Shadows
At “Go Dog Go Cafe”, Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge: Tuesday, June 2, 2020, Today’s prompt: Write a piece of prose or poetry around the phrase: “on our knees”
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Thanks Gabriela, quite a challenge for to write a completed piece quickly….. my process of pencil to paper, then keyboard to computer, is a very slow procedure ….
I love your poem. Timely seeing as I spent time yesterday just photographing bees.
You remember our conversation about fingers as a brain stimulant. Have you ever tried recording your poems while you doodle with pencil and paper, it wouldn’t surprise me if it has the same effect. I sometimes record into the Notes app on my phone and iPad, from there it can be copied into WordPress and edited at will. 🙂
I have tried it Sue, but my voice doesn’t seem to clear enough, and interprets me with far many things too errors, and then there’s far too many corrections to be made… 😂😊
I get that, I put on my best telephone voice but it still makes errors. I think they use Americans as Guinea pigs for these things. Maybe it’s time someone brought out notes apps in regional accents and countries!
Thank you Rose, Yes I wrote about the fun side of being ‘on our knees’… do you think the ‘Lord of Trees’, will let the sunshine through for our plants and flowers…. I say please… xxx🌳🌲
Amen and Right on, Ivor! This is so beautiful! I love putting our focus on nature…it brings peace and joy! 🙂
May Human-beans start treating the bees kindly, so they can beautify the rest of nature/the earth!

Oh thank you Carolyn….. Us human-beans need to know…how nature is kind and compassionate to to her family …. and we should study her caring ways closely…. and learn from her guidance…..
Ah, wonderful Ivor.

Rain is good! I enjoy a good rainstorm. As with anything, there can of course be too much of it, but overall, I like it. 💕 Stay well!
