Postmortems

Time glides over my writing desk

Isolation days hover within my chest

And to relieve the pressure of this ongoing test

I’ve diligently created a catalogue of my best

From selections of the editors postmortems

A Tullawalla booklet of my published poems

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. My journey has never been dull, and I’m still learning the range, the depth, the highs and lows of emotions within our souls, and I think the journey of self discovery is a never ending quest. 😊🙂💙🌏

  1. Great photo ivor. Is this the beginnings of your book series. I found the introduction very interesting. A meeting place is a great name for a poetry book. It would be a great name for a Poetry Group.
    Keep up your good work!

  2. Excellent, Ivor!
I remember when you were in the hospital poet-ing on the white-board. I’m so glad your health is better…and your poetry is still flowing!
They might be able to put you in isolation…but your muse is with you and you just keep writing! 😉
I know writing has been good for you…but your writing is good for us, too. You have impacted so many people in so many positive ways! Thank you!
    HUGS!!! 🙂
