Is There Love Behind Steamed-up Glasses Of Dread

This week’s Wednesday Challenge on Weekly Prompts is; STEAMED LENSES. Please go over and check out their fabulous site by clicking on this link >> . The below poem is my response to the prompt…

Is There Love Behind Steamed-up Glasses Of Dread

Life is indeed a tangle web

Behind steamed-up glasses of dread

But finding an end to the masks loose threads

Eventually unbinds previous words misread

We are bruised and torn

We are the drowned unicorns

Hatred is trampling our weary souls

Love and healing should be our goals

Love is every season, and the ones in between

Love is every moonbeam, and the ones in between

Love is every sunrise, and the ones in between

Love is an afternoon sea-breeze, and the cool evenings in between

I know these visions to be a true call

Because I’ve looked into the wizard’s crystal-ball

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Thank you Cheryl….more love is my message, but on analysing my thoughts, I think I was trying say we all have a piece of magic within us, and that our earths’ nature is the crystal-ball … I think ??

  1. Guess what, I’ve just solved your problem of reblogging your post and not it not showing up .
I copied your page URL and on the dashboard I changed the date on the URL to the 8th and edited at my end!!
Let me know each time you reblog and I will do the same again. But right now it’s my bedtime. Night night Ivor 😴
