G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Thank you Ingrid… haha .. not sure where the grumpy bears came from, I suppose it was raining ‘cats and dogs’ and my mind changed it to ‘tigers and bears’.. but tigers didn’t fit in with my poem, so hence I had bears… yep, clear as muddy paws…. ๐๐
Love the word-pic of grumpy bears and the sound made! ๐ฎ ๐
I love rain, a heavy snow falling quietly, even a noisy storm. But I respect that noisy storm and get in and let it do it’s thing outside. ๐
Coop, on the other paw (HA! ๐ ) is afraid of thunder. ๐ฆ He desperately wants to be held, on a lap, during a noisy storm.
(((HUGS))) ๐
Then me and Coop would make a good scaredy cat pair…๐๐… although i am awe of the power of big storm… .. haha… raining ‘tigers & bears’ sounded a lot heavier than plain old ‘cats & dogs.. ๐๐
HA! Yes, you and Cooper could hide out together! ๐ ๐
Raining tigers and bears would be way noisier and more dangerous than raining cats and dogs! ๐ฎ ๐
I love a good storm!

I love the idea of hiding behind the dog box from those ferocious, grumpy bears. ๐

I love a storm but not ashamed to admit I am a little leary of their power.

Yes, I’m scaredy cat, but also fascinated by their power.

During storms, our dog and cat both used to seek refuge in MY bed! ๐ A great metaphor…”grumpy bears in chains.” โค Have a great day, Ivor!
