G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

I have a lot of catching up to do. My husband had surgery for pancreatic surgery so weβve had a rather dramatic few months. But I really wanted to read a few poets I miss, and to just say hi! Iβm glad if youβre okay? Itβs good to read you again πΈπ
Thanks Ivor. He had radical surgery but is recovering really well. He needs to have some pretty hard core chemo though, as thereβs a high chance it could return in a year. Pancreatic cancer is so aggressive. Weβre just so grateful he had the surgery in time, even if itβs just for a few extra years. The chemo gives him a 50% chance of cure apparently.
Thank you Vanessa, ha-ha a product of the Covid lockdown months… I always wanted to write a book of my poems, and this seemed to perfect incentive to achieve my dream. ππ
