G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Ivor, writing is an addiction that works well for you! I hope you never break the habit! π Your words are honest, funny, and filled with love. They beautifully express your thoughts and dreams and bring joy to your readers.
Thank you Cheryl, funny how the addicted stay awake ’til 2.30am to finish a poem that has no beginning nor ending, just rhyme that didn’t escape shark at dinner time… ππ
Thank you Sue… oh to find somewhere safe and rest !! ….. I’ve not been over to your prompt yet… another big day with my proof-reader/editor, and except for my nieces illustrations , we finished the task… (I’m ecstatic) .. πβΊ
Yes! We CAN all relate to this poem!
And, Ivor, don’t EVER get help with your writing addiction…please stay addicted… π π ….we love to read what you write!
All your friends up top are delightful to see!
And the song you chose completes this post beautifully!

Haha .. Carolyn I was looking for a title to my piece, my mind was foggy.. It was “2.30am”… and then it hit me… I’m a silly old fool… I must be “addicted to writing”, to be still writing at this time of the morning ((Hugs))… πππhopefully an earlier night this evening…
