G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

So true it does not matter who is in power the outcome is all the same. Nothing gets done only more destruction. No real steps are taken to stop the pillaging of the Earth. There is enough for all but the rules say no.
I think incremental progress is being made in the US. We have rejoined the climate accords and may discontinue the new lease of federal lands for oil drilling. We need to do a lot more, so I think your haiku is quite accurate. Take care, Ivor! β€
So true. So sad. This is a powerful haiku, Ivor. Your words need to be heard.

“How come the most intellectual creature to ever walk Earth is destroying its only home?β – Jane Goodall
The creature maybe intelligent, but the creature lacks compassion and common sense.. like the digital computer box he has invented π€π€π§ππ
WE are not doing our planet any favours… every little bit helps… I joined up with “United By Blue”, when I was in Philadelphia 2 years ago, and purchased a few items at the “United Blue” Cafe and shop, near the Ben Franklin Bridge..
