This little poem I wrote as a ‘comment’ on Colleen’s site (The Chatter Blog) in response to her post today, “Wearing Thin”, and you may visit her article by clicking on this link >> Wearing Thin | The Chatter Blog (

there is a retired industrial Chemist

that lives within my old filtered blemishes

and I’ve forgotten the art of titration

that identify the residues summation

but life has taught me how to filtrate

and separate the good from bad paper weights

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      1. We’ve had a lot of rain lately and it’s been windy, but the weather’s not bad in Yorkshire this morning. Sunny with light cloud and breeze and a temperature of 6Β°C. πŸ˜€ Now I sound like a weather station!
