Pink Moon

Beyond the shimmering sand

And a comforting hand

A gracious spirit is in command

Wandering along life’s deviations

Are not treasonous reactions

A change of mindset to the left of centre

May create a mystical adventure

Tonight there shines a super-moon

Bring a bowl, cream, and spoon

And share in the sweetness of pink moonbeams

That revive lost souls and sanction forgotten dreams

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. I love the Waterboys. .. my poem was a mixture of 3 comments I had made on other blogs, and somehow they seemed to fit nicely together and form a poem 😄🌏

      1. I suppose my comments on other bloggers sites are my little seeds waiting to be germinated… and it’s a fruitful exercise that I store these special comment in my ‘Notebook”

  1. The beauty of Pink moon. Mystical and enthralling. Would surely sit with a bowl, cream and spoon to enjoy the moment. Enjoyed your poetry. Surely this is a needed deviation from the current chaos.

  2. This is so beautiful, Ivor!
I love the moon and every night with it I commune. It is THE perfect “escape” that brings balance, peace, and joy! 🙂
Your response…”Bring a bowl, cream, and spoon And share in the sweetness of pink moonbeams…” is perfect!!! 🙂
