Today

“Today”

Today I saw the truth

Today I saw her there

I knew the truth

I knew she was there

Sometimes the truth hurts

Like life time curses

So, empty the stones from old purses

And deflate the tyres on tomorrow’s hearse

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      1. I seem to do these quite often … and I enjoy the process, because I put thought and time to my comments.. even though it sends me miles behind in my blogging efforts…

  1. AW. Pass the tissues, please. A perfect post…photos, poem, song, Ivor.

Dear Carole, we honor you and your life! You live on in Ivor…you are the sparkle in his eyes, the smile the beams from his face, the joy that infuses his positive attitude, the wisdom and caring he shares in his words, the compassion seen in his actions, and so much more! You are still loved, still missed, still thought about..you still help us…as you always will!
Your Caroleness still impacts the world in such positive ways! 🙂
    (((HUGS))) 🙂 ❤
