Raining Oceans of Tears

Raining Oceans of Tears

They can send a machine to Mars

But cannot repair a blade of grass

In nature’s backyard

And billions of tears spill into the oceans

Creating a cascading Tsunami of love

Gradually rolling in from a blue horizon

Is this the beginning of the next great flood from above?

The words that are left unsaid

Cannot be misread

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Wonderful important poem and song! You and Moby are a beautiful heart-touching duet!
I do wish leaders (and all peoples) could get the priorities right. Their actions speak louder than their words…and often their actions don’t match their words…and often their words are lies, etc. 😦

    1. Thank you Carolyn. .. and priorities seem to be back to front and upside down .. and Ivor is giddy from performing reverse somersaults in front of government clowns 🤡 😁🌏

  2. The world needs a tsunami.

Of love, of course, like you said. 😅👀

Very beautiful and exquisite, and the last two lines are so mystical and stirring. How brilliant! What we don’t say or fail to say can speak louder than the words we will ever utter will. We can’t misread them either.

    1. Thank you Annette. .. and yes I agree about my finale lines … everyone knows what is “unsaid” , and their obvious inactions cannot be misread .. 📖🌏🗺😎
