Tullawalla by Ivor Steven, Kerri Costello, Paperback | Barnes & Noble® (barnesandnoble.com)

The blame game

Remains the same

Suspended and lame

In this round picture frame

And as time flies by

A heavy fog remains high in the sky

Where birds see their mates die

And cry from the sky “Why?”

“Who is responsible for our filthy sky”

Today’s Music: Xavier Rudd’s beautiful new song… enjoy …

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      1. I know .. and they are all crying “Why” .. the world’s governments of our era all “Know” that changes have to be made soon. .. mankind’s greed is our future’s tallest hurdle .. 😊🌏🗺 … it’s a crying shame to watch their selfish games 😢😢🌏🗺

  1. We often failed to realize the adverse effects we have, on Mother Nature, because we humans believe, that we are, better than, the other, lower forms of, living organisms, snd that will bring about, the downfall of, mankind…

  2. Important powerful poem that should give Human-Beans pause. And then do something to help.
It’s sad that birds have to ask that question. 😦 It’s super sad that we are destroying their homes. 😦
    PS…the rhyme-y flow is a wonderful way to capture people’s attention. 🙂
