Please Note: GREAT NEWS, Hardcover is NOW available.

A Trill of Sweet Twitters

Stepping over mother nature’s stormy aftermath

I gingerly zigzag down the garden path

Where I hear a trill of sweet twitters

From a visiting owl’s newborn critters

The thrilling music of nature’s baby transmitters

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

  1. Aw, this is so beautiful and joyful, Ivor! Two cuties! 🐧 🦉 And you’ve honored them with a rhyme-y delight! It’s it wonderful to see and hear the birdies! We can hear the baby birds in spring and early summer as they sing and chatter.
That song always touches my heart. 🙂
    (((HUGS))) 🙂
YAY for baby tweeters who tweet
They can sing while resting their feet
But their most beloved thing is to eat
Especially when mom brings a treat
