Seeds in Lines

Life’s inequalities do grow wider

But they may also contract narrower

The hardy vines of time

Plant seeds in eternal lines

That slowly seep out and climb

Looking into the  deepest wishing well

The wisest wishes are needing a spell

Slow down or miss the love train

In this world of endless rain

When searching for home

If you roll away the stone

You will find you are not alone

And may sunshine add another shade of blush

To the crimson of your trust

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Though our words may only look like dried husks, they contain the potential for inspiration and new life! ( this could be my inspiration for a new poem!! ) Thank you my friend!
