An Old Plumber, An Ex-Carer, An Amateur Poet, Words From The Heart
Mad-hatters, No Matter the Season
On “Weekly Prompts” the Wednesday Challenge is, AUTUMN MAGIC. Please go and visit their fabulous site by clicking >> Here and the below poem is my response to their ‘prompt’ ..
G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

love your play with words Ivor. a little madness makes the day a little less madder! your last 2 lines beautifully wrap up the playful yet thoughtful poem. Bravo!
Iβm sorry my first comment disappeared but at least the LIKE stayed in place. I think I said that I loved fun poems with or without hidden meanings. And I thanked you for taking part in our challenge.
Thank you Ivor. π

But where are the Mona Lisas ? I like the jokey rhythm, but on the worldly platform perhaps. (Another great one, i do like your work!)
