Cast In Marble

A new spring’s about to start

Ten lost winters have weathered my heart

And mud-larks still sing until dark

Bridges of dreams were crossed

The ocean and river spanned

Waters of love found

Our true love ran deep

Cascading over hidden rocks

And sharp stones were softened by sand

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Thank you Carolyn … my venture to join CHW has been a whirl-wind ride for me, and the positive vibes I am receiving is sensational … and even though it’s been extra work for me, the reward of having such a vast audience reading my poems has vindicated my gamble to have a go at something completely new for me … (( Hugs)) and thank you for ongoing words of encouragement… your kind support warms my heart .. 💛💙🌏😀
