Hello dear readers and followers … amazingly, I have managed to produce my “Twenty Fifth Tullawalla” Poetry Booklet….. For new readers that don’t know about these booklets, they are basically the reason why I write poetry. I produce these ‘home-printed’ booklets for the sole purpose of raising funds for my favourite charity organisation, the MS Society, in Australia via the MS Charity Shop here in Geelong. And actually all money’s I receive for any of my poetry .via, submissions, I donate to the MS Society…. I’m proud to announce, that the sale of my “Tullawalla Booklets”, have now gone pass $1500.00, … to all the lovely readers, who have donated, to help achieve such a wonderful amount, a big heartfelt thank you, from “us” and the MS Society … …..Incredibly, there is now a total of “1062 poems”, Yep over “A Thousand Poems” in my collection/series of “25” Tullawalla Booklets. After 2 months, this booklet is finally completed, and ready for sale now !! As always, they are available for purchase, either as a hard copy ‘Booklet’, or a PDF format….. All proceeds go to the MS Charity Shop, here in Geelong West….. Please contact me here through my website page and I can chat about arrangements from there…. Oh, the booklet is called “Tullawalla, Linger Songs”… And here is the link to my website >> https://ivors20.wordpress.com

Lingering Songs

sometimes I wished

for love to linger longer

other times I wished

my soul was stronger

old love lingers on

within lullaby songs

is my heart right or wrong?

sometimes when the music plays on and on

I hear my angel humming along

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Thank you Ingrid .. I am not sure how I do it !! … as you know the compiling of 40 – 50 poems in a indexed booklet takes many hours of work … I suppose after doing “25” of them, I am getting fairly proficient at producing them ..😊🌏🖊📒💕

    1. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, congrats on your booklets! I’m amazed at how much you’ve been able to raise from these booklets (from an earlier post you mentioned it in) but I’m not surprised, for it’s well deserved for a remarkable poet such as yourself. It’s beyond commendable that you’re donating it for such a noble cause, sir. 🙏 Best wishes..

    1. Thank You Sue … I was half way through my Tullawalla project and I still hadn’t come up with a Title for the booklet … and then I was pasting this poem into the booklet and it hit me, as great ‘Title’ for my “25th Tullawalla” …. my life of “Lingering Songs” .. just seemed so appropriate .. ❤🤗🌏💛
