G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

we each go as high as we can, and we never know how far that will be
I hope so, too! And so we keep climbing. π We can do at our own pace…just keep moving forward. As in the children’s game “Mother, May I?” we can take baby steps if we need to. π
Beautiful photo! Where is that?!
Wonderful poem! It flows right into our minds and hearts.
Great song choice!
(((HUGS))) π
The photo is from the observation deck at Rockefeller Centre over looking Central Park , and my little hotel was on left side of the Park down near the far end ππππΆ

As long as the trail lies ahead of us, we will continue on, even if at a slower pace. Life is beautiful and every day is precious! β€

Yes indeed .. haha and I am definitely slower and my steps are shorter .. but the stairway is smoother ππ

It’s all about staying physically fit. You don’t want to attempt a climb without a good pair of cardiovascularly tight lungs.

I think lungs are Ok , I’ve just had my heart check-up … I’m a shade on the crazy side . but overall .. not too bad for a seventy year old ..

Yep .. I’m taking little steps these days … the over 70’s stairway seems to be steeper π
