G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Oo, I love the last poignant line in this visionary and seeking poem!
Oh wow, this is good, Ivor. I remember you posting a portion of it in the comment section of one of my quotes. It indeed speaks well for the kind of world we live in and the need to be selfless. Insightful!π
Thatβs what I do with my thoughtful comments, I build them into poems .. like my βOdds and Endsβ post on Friday .. a lot of those little verses/anecdotes, would have later ended up in my poems
Yes indeed Felix .. the process has worked for me over the years .. itβs not for everyone, but it definitely helps keep my creative thoughts ticking over ππ
Gorgeous flowers in your photos, Ivor! Gardening is said to be a healthy, calming hobby. I love the poem, a gentle reminder that greed is the source of many of the problems in the world today. I wholeheartedly agree that we need to nurture Mother Nature. β€
Thank you Cheryl .. the photo were taken at the Moorabool Valley Chocolate Cafe, from there garden patio area were I sit with Frankie and enjoy my coffee and cheesecake πΆπ°π
YES! Right on! Truth! I agree 100%! You captured his perfectly, Ivor…in poem, photos, and music!
“Nurture, Give, Receive”…words to memorize, say every day, teach, and live!

Thank you dear Carolyn … this poem happens to be the last poem in my 26th Tullawalla Booklet, and I’ll have the booklet printed up in time for Christmas … yep … the family all receive a Tullawalla gift on the Day … πππ€πππΆ

When I’m in technical trouble, I have my brother come down from Ballarat to help me … Haha .. I think he’s happy that Ballarat is an hour away, otherwise I’d have here every 2nd day …
