Strong Undertows
Time hears no command
The sky is our blue grandstand
Overseeing oceans and lands
As the sun warms our silent clock hands
The seasons come and go
Springtime melts the snow
Nature’s seeds germinate and grow
And our rivers of life continue to flow
Has mankind become a pantomime show?
And Forgotten to ask the owls and crows
How to fly through?
The bad years of strong undertows

Strong undertows right now, Ivor, I see so many old trees downed by storms in the Lake District. No-one seems to take too much notice. But even this season of human destruction will pass in time…

Too many strong Undertows Ingrid.. but us humans don’t know how to swim in the same ocean with nature 🌏😊

That’s the problem, even though we are part of it!

This is so powerful and important, Ivor! Your photo, your poem-message, and your song choice.
We should have more respect and kindness for the owls and crows (and ALL of nature), as we can learn so much from it!

It’s a lovely piece, well written thematically and stylistically. Keep writing and keep spreading love. Seen it on the other side too (the magazine). 👏👏
