G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer.
I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

Seasons greetings Ivor, having a lazy day here after the big binge, hope you had a peaceful celebration yourself and are safe and well in these strange times
Quite gladdening to feel the immense happiness this season has brought with it to places far and near. It’s been a rough time and when indeed people can come together and rejoice, ain’t that marvelous!! That poem has fully captured the moment. 🤗
Thank you Cheryl.. my positive words of hope for the future … are a direct reflection of the powerful influence Christmas has for the reuniting the “goodness” In mankind ..🌏😊💕💖🤗

My favourites are always with the light on.
I Love Ed Sheeran’s music, he is so down to earth and grounded.
