Flying Frogs

A deluge of fat rain drops

Larger than an army of flying frogs

Bounding over tumbling logs

Quickly flooded my driveway

With rivers of bubbling ponds

Wildly racing in busy relays

That blindly drowned my lazy Sunday

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

    1. Haha .. I’m not sure .. but I didn’t know what a group of group of β€œfrogs” was called .. it’s an β€œarmy of frogs” … and thus during the afternoon storm, my poem was born around the the interesting line β€œLarger than an army of flying frogs β€œ … 😊🌏

Wonderful and great poem! Love your descriptions of the rain and it’s doings! Ha! Lazy Sundays give us the chance to observe, ponder, and birth-ed poems. πŸ™‚
