Dawn and Twilight



I missed out on the dawn sky

morning did pass me by

daylight grew wings and learnt to fly


my horizon fades out of sight

and twilight will turn into night

before I begin to write

G'day, and welcome to my blog site. My name is Ivor Steven, I live in Geelong, Australia. I'm an ex-industrial chemist, and a retired plumber, and a former Carer of my wife(Carole), for 30 years, who suffered from severe MS. I Write poetry about those personal thoughts, throughout and beyond my life as a Carer. I've been blogging for over 2 years, and writing poems for 19 years. Of course a lot of my poems are about my favourite subject Carole, but since I've been blogging my writings have become quite varied, humourous, mystical, observational, and even a few monster/horror poems.

      1. My pleasure Ivor, I’ve been at that stage since childhood. I need a short power nap in the afternoon. Infact most of the work I do after the afternoon nap 😴. At night I’m the most active .🙄

      1. Jestem w Szpitalu bo mam problemy ze zrowiem. Miej czasu będę poświęcać pisaniu na blogu. Musze zająć teraz głowę na walke z przeciwnośćami życia.Życie postawiło na mojej drodze kolejne wyzwanie. Tym razem na śmierci i życie. Jestem gotowy na podjecie wyzwanie, lecz tym razem to nie zależy odemnie tylko czy finansowo jestem w stanie podołać. To jest niewiarygodne że życie ludzkie zalerzy od kawałka papieru.
